Let me see your hips SWING...

Oh shit, shake that ass ma, move it like a gypsy
Stop, woah, back it up, now let me see your hips SWING
Oh shit, shake that ass ma, move it like a gypsy
Stop, woah, back it up, now let me see your hips SWING
Now drop it looooow and let me see your hips SWING
Down to the floooor now let me see your hips SWING...

I know you saw the movie Knocked Up, and if you didn't, well too bad. But this is the song that Seth Rogen's and Katherine Heigl's character were dancing to in the club scene. It's also the opening song the the movie.

I loved that movie and the song was so catchy and never heard it since then. However, the CD and the accompanying press kit was delivered to me yesterday via USPS from Savage's publicist. The album, Savage Island, is a great listen and has potential to be one of those favourite picks. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for music that is not part of the everyday rotation. Be honest, you love it too, don't you?

I'm in LOVE with the Disco Sirens...

While I was twittering away, I couldn't help but to notice that I was being followed. So, I stopped what I was doing to find out who was following me. [Following, for those not in the know, is when an individual or company subscribes to your posts on twitter and becomes a part of your network.] The person in question, was a new artist hailing from Ottawa, Ontario who goes by Cashtro Crosby.

Cashtro doesn't seem like a beginner to the music industry (you can clearly see this in his delivery), so I decided to give him a listen and to my surprise, the music caught me. So I immediately, without hesitation, reached out for him to send me more music along with his bio and press kit. And with great professionalism (I wish all artists were like this) and no questions asked, he did so immediately. Needless to say, I will be writing something more in-depth about him soon, keep your ears and eyes open for more to come.

By the way, the music above is using the same sample as his new release, which is provided in the link below. Normally, I wouldn't provide both versions, but both are banging and I want to see what you guys think. Either way, I'm sure you'll like them!

New York, We Go Hard...

Brooklyn, we go hard, we go hard...

There's a lot of talk that it's time for Jay-Z to retire from the scene and allow other MCs to have a chance to cake. And if I wasn't such a huge fan, I could probably see their point of view. But, uhmmm...all I can say is; New York, we go hard, we go hard!

Listen to the track. New York just took back Hip-Hop, courtesy of Jay-Z, with this track. Get your weight up rappers! Let's GO!!!
